Croissant

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:  
 
1 packet "PIZZA & MEHR" (pizza & more) baking mix from KUSTURA (gluten-free, organic, vegan) 
400 ml oat milk (or other milk) 
a little rice flour for dusting 
a little poppy seeds for sprinkling 
a little salt 

 

Preparation: 

Place the KUSTURA PIZZA & MORE baking mix (gluten-free, organic, vegan) and salt in a bowl and mix well with a whisk. Add the oat milk and mix the dough thoroughly with a hand mixer with kneading hooks. Shape the dough into a ball with a dough scraper. Flour the work surface, place the dough ball on it and flour it as well. First, flatten the dough ball with your hand, then roll it out into a circle with a rolling pin. Now, use a pizza cutter to cut the rolled-out dough into 12 equal triangles (like slices of cake). Fold the outer edge (wide side) inwards and press down slightly. Then, continue rolling the dough inwards (towards the tip).  

Tip: The croissant should not be rolled too loosely.  

Shape the croissants with your hands so that the ends point downwards and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the croissants well with oat milk and immediately sprinkle with poppy seeds. Immediately place the croissants in the oven and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes on the middle rack at 190°C (375°F) top/bottom heat.   

Let cool slightly and enjoy. The croissants pair well with both sweet and savory dishes.
